This hands on and dynamic training session used to be the staple of Warden Training programs nation wide, and a much looked forward to part of every training calendar. That was until the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 QLD changed the goalposts in QLD on 1 July 2009. Now this session is the responsibility of each workplace, to deliver to each worker within 30 days of commencing work, then at repeat 2 year intervals thereafter.
This has rendered this content now largely undelivered and/or delivered via online platforms using video demonstrations in lieu of live instruction.
